My anak2ku - My life!

Hi there!

I try to figure out what sort of blog that I want to write.. without any interesting idea on my mind, limited time and knowledge. Finally I decided to share my experience of starting a new phase of my life: being a father of my two charming prince and my two beautiful princess whose name are Iman Hafiy (19/02/2007), Siti Fadiyah (18/04/08) and Siti Fathiyah (20/11/2009) & Iman Hazim (19/09/2011)
Everytime I look at them.. I see hope renewed and how simple life can be.

* My thanks go to my beloved wife for showing me the real definitions of marriage and being the best mother for our kids..

My toys

How many of us, see what we shouldn't buy more toys to our kids..
Inevitably, my son comes home and asks why he doesn't have some toy that his friend has. I find this question difficult to respond to. Frankly, I like the idea of children should have a bedroom overflowing with their favourite toys, computer and video games but my wife doesn't agree.  She is so practical (mama.. jan marah..) So it won't happen.. I guess :)

According to Richard Bromfield, in his new book 'How to Unspoil Your Child Fast; A Speedy, Complete guide to Contented Children and Happy Parents'. What's the danger in spoiling a child? First, you're only making your job as a parent more difficult. (That is, of course, unless you like whinning.) But more importantly, you're also not helping your son or daughter develop into a well-adjusted adult who can handle the normal setbacks that life is sure to throw his or her way, says Bromfield.

My personal opinion, more importantly, some spoiled kids even run the risk of having financial problems later in life. That's because they don't learn the very important lessons of delayed their request or learn the value of money.

I've started telling my son and daughters that if they really want something they can buy themselves by saving. Of course the source from us but there are many way to reward them.  (I guess you guys know better, rite?)
Or.. they can write the item down on their wish list (I've given no promises.)
So far, my son is a bit disappointed he doesn't have PS3. But I have no choice in a process to discipline them. He is only five and too young for it. (eventhough he can play very well) and actually my real answer was "mahal bah tu!"
p.s: So true! buy toys on sale, worth it!
